Este Cuaderno Metodológico ofrece un novedoso y exhaustivo compendio de definiciones operativas, medidas y estrategias de análisis de la victimización, el miedo al delito, la confianza en la justicia y las actitudes hacia el castigo penal. Las experiencias y posicionamientos de la ciudadanía hacia la delincuencia y la acción del aparato de justicia penal constituyen hoy día asuntos de enorme importancia tanto científico-social como política. En buena parte de los países de nuestro entorno se realizan periódicamente encuestas que permiten disponer de información rigurosa y calibrar con ello el debate público en torno a las leyes penales o las políticas de seguridad.
