The two volume set LNAI 10984 and LNAI 10985 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications, ICIRA 2018, held in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, in August 2018. The 81 papers presented in the two volumes were carefully reviewed and selected from 129 submissions. The papers in the first volume of the set are organized in topical sections on multi-agent systems and distributed control; human-machine interaction; rehabilitation robotics; sensors and actuators; and industrial robot and robot manufacturing. Jesse Phillips (born ca. 1745) was probably born in Pennsylvania. He lived in Virginia, North Carolina, and Kentucky. He married Sarah (Thompson?), and they had five children.

An amazing story-even more so because it's all true. City-born and country-raised, Ken developed a need to fly and found a way to do it. While recalling his career as a USAF navigator, he relates to the history of the '60s, '70s and '80s-linking people, places, aircraft and adventures that circled the globe. In an early chapter, Ken describes in detail crossing the Atlantic, southern Europe and the Middle East to ferry a rare jet bomber to Peshawar, Pakistan. Later, the decorated aviator recollects a dangerous flight to the South Pacific, through a hurricane, becoming lost overwater with only a sextant to find a tiny island and procure the safety of his crew. After that, following three years in the C-130 aircraft in Europe, he transitioned to the F-4 Phantom II fighter for the rest of his career. He details missions and the use of smart weapons during his year in combat in Southeast Asia. During the '70s, he returned to Germany for six more years in the F-4, which involved sitting nuclear alert and training for all other missions.Twenty-one years in the USAF with more than 5,600 hours of flying provides for many intriguing war stories from the backseat....
Studies in the Roman and Medieval Archaeology of Exeter
This second volume presenting the research carried out through the Exeter: A Place in Time project presents a series of specialist contributions that underpin the general overview published in the first volume. Chapter 2 provides summaries of the excavations carried out within the city of Exeter between 1812 and 2019, while Chapter 3 draws together the evidence for the plan of the legionary fortress and the streets and buildings of the Roman town. Chapter 4 presents the medieval documentary evidence relating to the excavations at three sites in central Exeter (High Street, Trichay Street and Goldsmith Street), with the excavation reports being in Chapter 5-7. Chapter 8 reports on the excavations and documentary research at Rack Street in the south-east quarter of the city. There follows a series of papers covering recent research into the archaeometallurgical debris, dendrochronology, Roman pottery, Roman ceramic building material, Roman querns and millstones, Claudian coins, an overview of the Roman coins from Exeter and Devon, medieval pottery, and the human remains found in a series of medieval cemeteries.
