On August 7, 1998, at approximately 10:30 a.m. local time, the first truck bomb exploded outside the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. Minutes later, a second truck bomb exploded outside the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I was assigned to the embassy in Nairobi as the Financial Management Center (FMC) Director. I was off-site that morning. Had I been present, there is a high probability I would not be writing this book. Though I did not ask for any of this, I found myself to be a tiny hub on a "Deep State" wheel, with the spokes— the U.S. Department of State, Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Military— all connecting to me. For what reason— because of the money. Through years of just doing my job as a federal auditor and then as a Foreign Service Financial Management Specialist, I became aware of and took actions regarding money, unbeknownst to me at the time, having linkages to covert operations. My story has serious political overtones, but it is not a political story. It is my story. It is the story of what can happen when you innocently seek one truth, but discover quite another.

The Extraordinary Book of South African Cricket

The Extraordinary Book of South African Cricket is the perfect gift for any cricket fanatic. Following up on their tremendous success with The Penguin Book of South African Sports Trivia, Kevin McCallum and David O'Sullivan have trawled the South African cricket archives and put together a collection of behind-the-scenes tales, curiosities, trivia, quotable quotes, famous pranks, amazing-but-true scorecards, great triumphs and embarrassing blunders. This encyclopaedia of South African cricket trivia contains fascinating stories of: Clive Rice's dramatic last ball in a Currie Cup match; how frogs, dangerous cracks, fried calamari and pornography have all stopped play; Eddie Barlow's four wickets in five balls playing for the Rest of the World; Herschelle Gibbs's six sixes in an ODI; Tony Greig's epileptic fit during a Currie Cup match; Basil D'Oliveira's 225 in 65 minutes and much more.

The Virgin and the Viscount

As a Lady of Virtue, Matilda Brooks swears to reform the most despicable man of her acquaintance, her brother-in-law, Sullivan Chase, Viscount Glenbrook. Well, he may not be the most despicable, but he is certainly arrogant, flirtatious, and entirely too charming. To make matters worse, he has the irritating tendency to poke fun at her and rile her emotions as no other man does. However, when she confronts him, he laughs off her concern about his slothful ways. But when a carriage accident forces Sullivan to play knight to Tilly’s damsel, his unexpected act of chivalry ends up costing them both their freedom. Her compromised reputation and his honorable declaration forces them into a marriage neither of them wants. Which is most inconvenient, given that she has sworn to despise him forever. Each book in the Lords of Vice series is STANDALONE: * The Scoundrel and the Lady * The Marquess and the Maiden * The Earl and the Reluctant Lady * The Virgin and the Viscount

The Last Reunion

All of the previous 9 books I have written are about a family and their friends, who are scattered all around the country and Scotland. They seldom see each other except at the annual family reunion, Book 10 brings these people together for their final reunion in the territory of Wyoming the first week of October, 1959. Some come from Scotland by ship, join others in NYC, ride a train to Omaha, and a stagecoach to Wyoming. Others riding a train from western Virginia mountains, joined them in Pittsburg. Some came by wagon train from western Kentucky.
