The Outrage of Covid-19: The Unsung Stories of the Pandemic (Graphic Novel Special Edition) (UUM Press)
The year 2020 was challenging for Malaysians and people around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Malaysia has been particularly affected, with over two million cases and more than 31,000 deaths. Despite the difficulties, some individuals have gained wisdom from the experience. To help convey the events of COVID-19 in a clear and accessible way, a graphic novel called ‘The Outrage of COVID-19’ has been created. The novel contains real stories from individuals’ experiences during the pandemic, such as their struggles with quarantine and working from home. The novel is illustrated with graphics to make it easy to understand, and is intended to inspire and enlighten readers about the reality of COVID-19. The novel also includes various messages and lessons that readers can learn from. ‘The Outrage of COVID-19’ is a special manuscript that was completed during the pandemic, and represents the first collaboration between UiTM Kedah Branch lecturers and Diploma in Graphic Design students.

Segala puji dan syukur saya panjatkan kepada Allah SWT karena atas berkah dan limpahan rahmadNya, maka saya bisa menyelesaikan novel ini. Melalaui kata pengantar ini saya lebih dahulu meminta maaf dan memohon pemakluman bila mana isi novel ini masih ada kekurangan berupa kesalahan tulisan yang belum tepat atau menyinggung. Bagaimanapun Datuk Karim tidak berlaku jujur terhadapnya. Di belakang Saerah, lelaki itu telah menjalin hubungan dengan wanita lain. Kecurangan ini terbukti dengan gambar-gambar yang ditunjukkan oleh Datin Kay kepada Saerah. Sejak mengetahui kecurangan lelaki itu Saerah menjauhkan dirinya. Perubahan ini menggembirakan Datin Rose, isteri Datuk Karim yang selama ini mendendaminya kerana Saerah dianggap sebagai perosak rumah tangganya. Datuk Karim menyedari kesilapannya dan berusaha mencari Saerah tetapi gagal. Biarpun hatinya masih menyayangi Datuk Karim namun Saerah terpaksa memilih satu keputusan yang muktamad. Dia harus memilih kehidupan baru yang diredhai ALLAH.
