Targum Pseudo-Jonathan (Also known as the Jerusalem Targum or Targum Yerushalmi)
Targum Pseudo-Jonathan is an Aramaic translation and interpretation of the Torah (Pentateuch) traditionally thought to have originated from the land of Israel (thus also called Targum Eretz Yisrael, Targum Yerushalmi, etc.). Targum Pseudo-Jonathan is a paraphrase interpretative translation which incorporates aggadic material collected from various sources as late as the Midrash Rabbah as well as earlier material from the Talmud. Useful for the study of a Jewish interpretation on the Torah.
Twenty Years in a Siberian Gulag
Caught up in one of the many purges that swept the Soviet Union during the Great Terror, Leonid Petrovich Bolotov (1906-1987) was one of 86 engineers arrested at Leningrad's Red Triangle Rubber Factory and sent to the Gulag as "enemies of the people." He would be the only one to survive and return to his family after enduring two decades in the infamous Kolyma labor camps. Translated into English and published here for the first time, Bolotov's memoir narrates with growing intensity his arrest, imprisonment and interrogation, his "confession" and trial, his exile to hard labor in Arctic Siberia, and his rehabilitation in 1956 following the official end of Stalin's personality cult.

The Leeser Bible
Rabbi Isaac Leeser (1806-1868) of Philadelphia was responsible for the first Jewish translation of the Bible made for American Jewry. Leeser's considerable learning in matters biblical and rabbinic derived in major measure from the fine research then flowering in Germany, and his translation of the Bible became in a short time the standard Bible for English-speaking Jews in America. I originally put this edition together, edited it and published it as a gift to my own father, who loves this Bible version.

This edition contains the entire LXX (Septuagint) Old Testament in English translation - including the Apocryphal books. The earliest version (translation) of the Old Testament Scriptures which is extant, or of which we possess any certain knowledge, is the translation executed at Alexandria in the third century before the Christian era: this version has been so habitually known by the name of the SEPTUAGINT, that the attempt of some learned men in modern times to introduce the designation of the Alexandrian version (as more correct) has been far from successful. The fact may, however, be regarded as certain, that prior to the year 285 B.C. the Septuagint version had been commenced, and that in the reign of Ptolemy Philadelphus, either the books in general or at least an important part of them had been completed.
