Multiphase catalysis is a key technology for the competitive and sustainable production of fine chemicals in coming decades. A joint academic and industry consortium has developed tools for considering complex chemical and process-based requirements when setting up a catalytic system. This book shows how the resulting competence covers such supercritical fluid (SCF) technology in catalysis, ionic liquids (Il), ligand design for SFCs and Ils, thermomorphic solvent systems, reactor design and more.
Edited by two of the leading researchers in the field, this book provides a deep, interdisciplinary insight into stoichiometric and catalytic reactions in this continuously expanding area. A plethora of top German scientists with an international reputation covers various aspects, from classical organic chemistry to process development, and from the theoretical background to biological methods using enzymes. Throughout the focus is on the development of new synthetic methods in asymmetric synthesis, the synthesis of natural and bioactive compounds and the latest developments in both chemical and biological methods of catalysis, as well as the investigation of special technical and biotechnical aspects.
Exploring and highlighting the new horizons in the studies of reaction mechanisms that open joint application of experimental studies and theoretical calculations is the goal of this book. The latest insights and developments in the mechanistic studies of organometallic reactions and catalytic processes are presented and reviewed. The book adopts a unique approach, exemplifying how to use experiments, spectroscopy measurements, and computational methods to reveal reaction pathways and molecular structures of catalysts, rather than concentrating solely on one discipline. The result is a deeper understanding of the underlying reaction mechanism and correlation between molecular structure and r...
'Niemand darf verloren gehen!'
