Web engineering is a new discipline that addresses the pressing need for syst- atic and tool-supported approaches for the development, maintenance and te- ing of Web applications. Web engineering builds upon well-known and succe- ful software engineering principles and practices, adapting them to the special characteristics of Web applications. Even more relevant is the enrichment with methods and techniques stemming from related areas like hypertext authoring, human-computer interaction, content management, and usability engineering. This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of five international workshops held in Thessaloniki, Greece, in conjunction with the 26th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering, CAiSE 2014, in June 2014. The 24 full and eight short papers were carefully selected from 63 submissions. The five workshops were the First International Workshop on Advanced Probability and Statistics in Information Systems (APSIS), the First International Workshop on Advances in Services Design Based on the Notion of Capability, the Second International Workshop on Cognitive Aspects of Information Systems Engineering (COGNISE), the Third Workshop on New Generation Enterprise and Business Innovation Systems (NGEBIS), and the 4th International Workshop on Information Systems Security Engineering (WISSE).
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of eight international workshops held in Gdańsk, Poland, in conjunction with the 24th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering, CAiSE 2012, in June 2012. The 35 full and 17 short revised papers were carefully selected from 104 submissions. The eight workshops were Agility of Enterprise Systems (AgilES), Business/IT Alignment and Interoperability (BUSITAL), Enterprise and Organizational Modeling and Simulation (EOMAS), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRCIS), Human-Centric Process-Aware Information Systems (HC-PAIS), System and Software Architectures (IWSSA), Ontology, Models, Conceptualization and Epistemology in Social, Artificial and Natural Systems (ONTOSE), and Information Systems Security Engineering (WISSE).
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of five international workshops held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in conjunction with the 28th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering, CAiSE 2016, in June 2016. The 16 full and 9 short papers were carefully selected from 51 submissions. The associated workshops were the Third International Workshop on Advances in Services DEsign based on the Notion of CApabiliy (ASDENCA) co-arranged with the First International Workshop on Business Model Dynamics and Information Systems Engineering (BumDISE), the Fourth International Workshop on Cognitive Aspects of Information Systems Engineering (COGNISE), the First International Workshop on Energy-awareness and Big Data Management in Information Systems (EnBIS), the Second International Workshop on Enterprise Modeling (EM), and the Sixth International Workshop on Information Systems Security Engineering (WISSE).
This volume contains the papers presented at the Intemational Conference on Object Oriented Information Systems 00lS'94, held at South Bank University, London, December 19 - 21, 1994. In response to our call for papers, a total 85 papers from 24 different countries were submitted. Each paper was evaluated by at least two Program Committee members and an additional reviewer. Together, we selected 41 papers for presentation at the conference and inclusion in the Proceedings. Also included are the keynote addresses by Peter Gray and Michael Jackson. The other submissions were recommended for presentation in the poster sessions. Peter Gray, our invited speaker, evaluates the problems of object-o...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering, CaiSE 2003, held in Klagenfurt, Austria in June 2003. The 45 revised full papers presented together with 3 invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from 219 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on XML, methods and models for information systems, UML, Internet business and social modeling, peer-to-peer systems, ontology-based methods, advanced design of information systems, knowledge, knowledge management, Web services, data warehouses, electronic agreements and workflow, requirements engineering, metrics and method engineering, and agent technologies and advanced environments.
This book provides a comprehensive state-of-the-art, in conceptual modeling. It grew out of research papers presented at the 18th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER '99) and arranged by the editors. The plan of the conference is to cover the whole spectrum of conceptual modeling as it relates to database and information systems design and to offer a complete coverage of data and process modeling, database technology, and database applications. The aim of the conference and of these proceedings is to present new insights related to each of these topics. This book contains both selected and invited papers. The 33 selected papers are organized in 11 sessions encompassing the ma...
This book constitutes revised selected papers from the 10th International Symposium on Foundations and Practice of Security, FPS 2017, held in Nancy, France in October 2017.
