This is an open access book. The International Conference on Educational Technology and Management (ICEMT) is held to bring together academics, researchers, teachers, educational entrepreneurs, practitioners, and policy makers. They are responsible for implementing educational technology by leveraging resources through education management to create and enable ecosystem capabilities and access to education. The Covid-19 pandemic teaches that aspects of information and communication technology in education management are full of limitations. Inevitably, educational users have moved dramatically to online channels. Students and teachers are accustomed to learning from home. There are opportunities, as well as challenges. Although the pandemic isn’t over yet, future updates are needed.
Peradaban Dunia Abad Pertengahan
Abad pertengahan merupakan sebuah dinamika di mana manusia bergerak di dalam sebuah pola yang berulang terus-menerus. Oleh berbagai pemikir abad pertengahan, pola tersebut dinamakan sebagai gerak siklis. Berbeda dengan peradaban Yunani kuno maupun modern yang kaya akan beragam penemuan. Pada abad pertengahan, kepentingan yang dilakukan manusia hanya berorientasi pada agama, politik, maupun kekuasaan semata sehingga menghambat munculnya inovasi serta kebaruan. Meski begitu, pada abad pertengahan tampak semangat juang yang besar dari manusia baik secara individu maupun kelompok. Perang bertahun-tahun, perjalanan beribu-ribu kilometer, serta penjelajahan panjang di tengah samudera bukan saja mengorbankan waktu dan tenaga, melainkan juga kehidupan manusia itu sendiri. Semua itu dilakukan demi meraih kejayaan di tengah gerak sejarah yang terus berulang. Oleh sebab itu, perlu mimpi yang besar diimbangi dengan usaha yang tidak kalah besar pula. Tidak hanya dari segi peristiwa, tetapi karya ini juga menampilkan peranan dari para pelaku sejarah beserta segala pemikirannya.

Engineering Applications for New Materials and Technologies
This book discusses the expertise, skills, and techniques needed for the development of new materials and technologies. It focuses on finite element and finite volume methods that are used for engineering simulations, and present many state-of-the-art applications and advances to highlight these methods’ importance. For example, modern joining technologies can be used to fabricate new compound or composite materials, even those formed from dissimilar component materials. These composite materials are often exposed to harsh environments, must deliver specific characteristics, and are primarily used in automotive and marine technologies, i.e., ships, amphibious vehicles, docks, offshore structures, and even robots. To achieve the desired material performance, computer-based engineering tools are widely used for simulation, data evaluation, and design processes.
