This volume is a selection of contributions offered by friends, collaborators, past students in memory of Enrico Magenes. The first part gives a wide historical perspective of Magenes' work in his 50-year mathematical career; the second part contains original research papers, and shows how ideas, methods, and techniques introduced by Magenes and his collaborators still have an impact on the current research in Mathematics.
Machine learning has led to incredible achievements in many different fields of science and technology. These varied methods of machine learning all offer powerful new tools to scientists and engineers and open new paths in geomechanics. The two volumes of Machine Learning in Geomechanics aim to demystify machine learning. They present the main methods and provide examples of its applications in mechanics and geomechanics. Most of the chapters provide a pedagogical introduction to the most important methods of machine learning and uncover the fundamental notions underlying them. Building from the simplest to the most sophisticated methods of machine learning, the books give several hands-on examples of coding to assist readers in understanding both the methods and their potential and identifying possible pitfalls.
This book gathers outstanding papers presented at the European Conference on Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications (ENUMATH 2019). The conference was organized by Delft University of Technology and was held in Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands, from September 30 to October 4, 2019. The first ENUMATH was held in Paris in 1995, with successive installments at various sites across Europe, including Heidelberg (1997), Jyvaskyla (1999), lschia Porto (2001), Prague (2003), Santiago de Compostela (2005), Graz (2007), Uppsala (2009), Leicester (2011), Lausanne (2013), Ankara (2015) and Bergen (2017).

The book “Kilabot Files: Gabi ng Lagim” is a collection of some of Jemar’s weird ideas. It focuses on the reality and some paranormal experiences. It was inspired by his idol Draven Black, a famous dark or horror writer. It consists of 5 horrifying stories. One is all about the journey of Wangas as he travelled in an unusual dream or ritual made by Hesus. Next is inspired in the pandemic (CoVid-19) in which a pagan made a ritual and create zombies. Third is about the journey of Binibini of being a prey in Garandula’s bad intention. The last two stories are both focuses on psychological theme which both related to experiences of the author’s friend.
