As many organizations expand, it becomes increasingly important to implement collaboration and leadership practices that help ensure their overall success. Being able to work and lead effectively in diverse settings can greatly benefit individual employees and the organization as a whole. Cross-Cultural Collaboration and Leadership in Modern Organizations provides an interdisciplinary analysis of how organizations can responsibly embrace complex problem-solving and creative decision making. Providing essential practical tools and critical guidelines, this publication is a necessary reference source benefiting business professionals, managers, researchers, and students interested in leadership and collaboration strategies and their application to various disciplines such as human resources management, professional development, organizational development, and education.
A family on vacation lose their son. A truck driver's last ride. A girl chasing hope. This is a life affirming journey, across a local highway, and into the heart of an unseen India, where acts of great compassion are shown to strangers.
In turbulent global times, your study of this subject is increasingly necessary and urgent. Featuring a new chapter on critical theories, and revised to take a less Eurocentric approach to concepts and case studies, this new edition allows you to tackle global politics' important concepts, debates and problems: -How can theories help us to understand the politics of a global pandemic? -Do we live in a 'post-truth' world of 'fake news' and disinformation? -Does international aid work? -Does the United States remain a global hegemon? -What is the Anthropocene and how does it shape global politics? -Are global politics constrained by a 'North-South' divide? -What are the possible futures of glo...
Pappu is a fictional character which represents the dynastic politics of South East Asia. Most politicians are inheritors of their parent's political dynasty and too far detached from the common people they are supposed to lead. In past few years Pappu is a character which has taken a new lead in jokes. These jokes are in the nature of satire and Pappu does not represent one single person or family but is representative of all the young politicians who have been or are being imposed only on the qualification of them belonging to one particular family. Enjoy and do leave a comment in review section.
High-throughput sequencing and functional genomics technologies have given us the human genome sequence as well as those of other experimentally, medically, and agriculturally important species, and have enabled large-scale genotyping and gene expression profiling of human populations. Databases containing large numbers of sequences, polymorphisms, structures, and gene expression profiles of normal and diseased tissues are being rapidly generated for human and model organisms. Bioinformatics is thus rapidly growing in importance in the annotation of genomic sequences; the understanding of the interplay among and between genes and proteins; the analysis of genetic variability of species; the identification of pharmacological targets; and the inference of evolutionary origins, mechanisms, and relationships. This proceedings volume contains an up-to-date exchange of knowledge, ideas, and solutions to conceptual and practical issues of bioinformatics by researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners at the 5th Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Conference held in Hong Kong in January 2007.

Pappudom is a normal run-of-the-mill village on the banks of the Tarangam River - or so everyone thinks. But Pappu, a boy living in the village, knows better. He visited the past once, with the ghost of his great granduncle, Grand Pappu, after whom the village is named, and together they had defeated the British army using the 'Forces of the Future'. But now, events are taking a turn for the worse. In ancient times, the most horrific spirits known to man had been sealed in Chekuthan Thodi, or Devil's Garden, the forest adjoining the village. A pact between the humans and the spirit world had ensured a boundary between Pappudom and Devil's Garden. But someone from the village has violated the...
With a few exceptions, there is little else that is more important to the typical resident of Wisconsin than the Green Bay Packers. These fans will endure an Arctic freeze, a torrential downpour, or a sweltering August night to watch their beloved Packers. As the famed Lambeau Leap symbolizes, players have never been mere numbers to the faithful. Instead, fans literally embrace Packers like members of their extended families. Green Bay Packers: Where Have You Gone? takes an informative stroll down memory lane and includes many of the players who have made being a Packers fan so much fun in Wisconsin and beyond. From Paul Hornung to Dorsey Levens, Willie Davis to Ahman Green, Jim Taylor to Do...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications, ISBRA 2009, held in Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA, in May 2009. The 26 revised full papers presented together four invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 55 submissions. The papers cover a wide range of topics, including clustering and classification, gene expression analysis, gene networks, genome analysis, motif finding, pathways, protein structure prediction, protein domain interactions, phylogenetics, and software tools.
