The Early Bronze Age Seal-Impressed Vessels from Ḫirbet ez-Zeraqōn
Sealing practices were widespread across the Mediterranean and Southwest Asia from prehistoric to historic times. This study is based on the author’s analysis of the large assemblage of impressed ceramics from the site of Ḫirbet ez-Zeraqōn in northern Jordan.

Space and Place as a Topic for Public Theologies
Public theologies reflect on the contextuality of the Christian religion. Much of this contextuality is dependent on place: place as the culture and the society in which religions are situated, place as the position from where a theologian speaks, place as the biographical contingencies that shape people's lives. Moreover, public theologies ask for the contribution of Christian ethics to society, thereby shaping the social, cultural, and religious space to which they belong. The contributions in this volume analyse the categories of space and place in order to deepen the understanding of contextuality, thereby taking up some of the challenges presented by the so-called "spatial turn".

Die Stadt
Im Rahmen eines Tübinger Symposions ist die Bedeutung "der" Stadt unter theologischen Gesichtspunkten aus biblisch-exegetischer, (kirchen)geschichtlicher, systematisch-theologischer und nicht zuletzt auch unter praktisch-theologischer Perspektive erörtert worden. Dabei wurde die partnerschaftliche Beziehung zwischen der Tübinger Evangelisch-Theologischen Fakultät und der Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary, Seoul, sowie der Seoul Theological University dazu genutzt, in gemeinsamer koreanisch-deutscher Arbeit zum Thema Aspekte zur Geltung zu bringen, die den europäischen Horizont übersteigen. Sie lassen deutlich werden, vor welchen besonderen Herausforderungen die christlichen Gemeinden und Kirchen in Korea stehen, wie ihr Wirken weithin unter den Rahmenbedingungen von Megacities stattfinden muss, und wie die Aufgabe der Gemeindebildung und der Gemeindebindung der Gemeindeglieder realisiert werden kann und muss.
