Principles of European Tort Law
The European Group on Tort Law presents the results of its extensive research project, the Principles of European Tort Law. They were drafted on the basis of several comparative studies on the most fundamental questions of tortious liability and the law of damages. The Principles are not a mere restatement of the common core of tort law in Europe, but rather a proposal for a comprehensive system of tortious liability for the future, though necessarily linked to existing regimes. They are meant to stimulate discussion both among academics and practitioners and could serve as guidelines for national legislatures, thereby fostering gradual harmonization. The text of the Principles, which is offered in English and several other languages, is accompanied by commentaries on the various parts elaborating their intended meaning and interplay.
Essential Cases on Damage
With an emerging ius commune in the field of tort law, the extensive range of experiences derived from national court practice on the basis of prior laws will in certain respects be of comparatively less importance. A major lacuna is thus apparent: While publications of court decisions and databases exist, none provide access to a comparative selection of recurring issues in the various European legal systems. Along the lines of the previous Digest project on Causation, this study covers another key element of tort law damage. The publication contains a systematic selection of cases from 27 countries across Europe in addition to ECJ case-law, with each case benefiting from an analysis and commentary from a national and, where appropriate, a comparative perspective. Further, the impact of these rulings on a future European law of torts is highlighted. Finally, the publication also looks into how key cases would be resolved under unified European tort law drafts. The object of the study is thus to bridge domestic case-law with the new body of uniform tort law thus facilitating the continuity of legal development in Europe."
Prescription in Tort Law
Prescription is a major legal defence that bars civil actions after the expiry of the prescription period on the claim. This book thoroughly examines the law of 16 selected jurisdictions and extensively analyses in comparative perspective the elements of prescription, their interrelations, and the policy considerations (including economic analysis). Roads to Post-Fordism
In this book Max Koch develops a theoretical model to understand the restructuring of labour markets and social structures of advanced capitalist countries on the basis of the 'regulation approach'. This approach is then applied to comparative analysis of the national trajectories of the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. Against the background of the classical sociological theories of Marx and Weber, he examines whether there are general links between inclusion, exclusion and capitalism. This is followed by an outline of key concepts of the regulation approach and a discussion of the transition from Fordism to Post-Fordism which leads to empirically verifiable hypotheses about long-term trends in labour markets and social structures in Western Europe. These hypotheses serve as the theoretical basis for the subsequent country studies that are founded on an evaluation of international labour statistics.

Forever Faithful
This is the third in a series of genealogical studies of German families that emigrated to the Kingdom of Hungary in the early 18th century and settled in Somogy County. Kötcse is the oldest of the three major German Lutheran parishes that evolved and numerous families from Kötcse were instrumental in the establishment of the other two. The family histories of those who settled in the parish of Somogydöröcske are included in the volume: Dörnberg: In the Shadow of the Josefsberg; and those from the parish of Ecsény in From Toleration to Expulsion that both preceded this publication. In addition to the genealogical information the author provides the historical context and other information vital to an understanding of the lifestyle, traditions and ultimate destiny of their sojourn in Hungary and beyond.
