"This astrology-focused board book explores one of twelve zodiac signs, offering an accessible, sweet introduction to a baby's first horoscope"--
When Mother Earth grew tired of giving her people chance after chance to right their wrongs, she resorted to her last hope and released a toxic gas into the atmosphere. She spared only her creations and killed over eight billion people. In a new society made up of just three cities and five towns, a tyrant claimed power. The initial hope swiftly dissolved into starvation and fear in a place built on greed, motivated by violence, and populated by those who wished only for a quick death. Thirty years later, Harley Hudson and her oldest and most devoted friend Jimmy Carter, who battles demons of his own, are forced to face this world head-on when her younger brother is kidnapped by sinister Hun...
This book is dedicated to the memory of my life long friend Merle Haggard. Merle had millions of fans passionate about his music. He was a humble man from humble beginnings in California. His legacy is well chronicled in hundreds of articles written about him in major publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Rolling Stone Magazine, USA Today Newspaper, The Los Angeles Times, and dozens of others. His 50 plus year career garnered Merle the highest awards that are given to an artist, ie; Lifetime Grammy, Country Music Hall of Fame, Kennedy Center Honors, Songwriters Hall of Fame. I was 14 when I met Merle and his wife to be Bonnie Owens, at this writing I'm still just a kid of 70 years old. This book traces the beginning of my observations of this uniquely talented man. It's a positive book that I hope his fans will enjoy. He was a kind and onery man, very funny and very serious. He was a proud American and loved every State and the people in it.
The idea for the book came about while I was working abroad on a theater show, with a fair bit of downtime. Before leaving, I'd been helping our son, Arlen, as he made first contact with a few instruments: keyboards and synthesizers, guitar, and a variety of tuned percussion instruments. It did not always go well. His intense love of music was matched by an equally intense desire for immediate results. This combination often led to a considerable amount of frustration. To help Arlen cope with this frustration, I decided to write a short rhyming story that would be similar in many ways to those found in his favorite picture books. My initial vision was for the book to encourage practice and s...
It took 50 years on Madison Avenue, a million concepts for mostly Fortune 100 Companies and more than a hundred professionals to write this book.
My husband died. Suddenly and tragically. I was 33. I had three young children and had just released my first solo album. I was in shock and grief for months after...I barely hung on. One of the last things my husband Chad did on the day that he died was write in his journal. The next morning, as I waited to tell my children that their daddy was dead, I wrote the next entry. I kept writing. I poured out my heart and soul to God, crying out to Him as I walked, no slogged, through the months and years of suffering. I sobbed, wrestled, screamed and questioned everything I knew to be true about God. And, He wrapped me in peace and loved me through the very worst days of my life. During that sad ...
Do you want to successfully self-publish? There are thousands of new books being published every day, but many self-published books quickly sink to the bottom of the pile. Many authors are frustrated because there are so many options for self-publishing, and they don't know which one to choose or what will be best for their book. Others spend thousands of dollars to publish and end up broken-hearted with the result. But it doesn't have to be this way. I've spent the last seven years self-publishing bestselling fiction and non-fiction books and in 2011, I left my day job to become a full-time author entrepreneur. I've made lots of mistakes along the way, but through the process of self-publis...
