15 Ağustos 1938’de Dersim’de neler oldu? İnip kalkan süngüler, durmaksızın çalışan makineli tüfekler, vurulup üzerlerine düşen yakınları sayesinde hayatta kalan çocuklar, bebeklerini kurtarmak için azgın derelere bırakan anneler, evleri barkları dağılan aileler, işkenceler, eziyetler… Cumhuriyet tarihinin kara sayfalarından biri olan Dersim Harekâtı’nın tanıkları aradan geçen onca zamana rağmen olan biteni acı içinde hatırlıyorlar. “Tertele” tanıklarının dehşet verici hikâyeleri bir insanlık dramını gözler önüne seriyor. Nübüvvet silsilesinin son halkası Hz. Muhammed ile (sas) tamamlanmıştır. Allah Resulü'nün bıraktığı mirasa sahip çıkan âlimler, İslâm'ı farklı dil, renk ve kültürlere sahip toplumlara anlatma gayretinde olmuştur. The republic of Turkey and the Soviet Union both emerged from the wreckage of empires surrounding World War I, and pathways of literary exchange soon opened between the two revolutionary states. Drawing on a variety of sources, ranging from interviews with key figures to unpublished archival material, Saban Halis Calis traces this ambition back to the 1930s. In doing so, he demonstrates that Turkey's policy has been shaped not just by US and Soviet positions, but also by its own desire both to reinforce its Kemalist character and to 'Westernise'. The Cold War, therefore, can be seen as an opportunity for Turkey to realise its long-held goal and align itself economically and politically with the West. This book will shed new light on the Cold War and Turkey's modern diplomacy, and re-orientate existing understandings of modern Turkish identity and its diplomatic history.
ANATOLIAN LANDSCAPE AND FAITH TOURISM: ANCIENT TIMES TO PRESENT (İNANÇ TURİZMİ)
Turkey’s candidacy for membership of the European Union has had mixed effects on its public policies. The initial degree of cohesion between EU and Turkish national policies, practices and institutions has varied by the policy field in question, leading to a complex amalgam of fit and misfit between the two actors. Their interaction in different policy areas has had direct influence both on Turkey’s accession to the EU and its own national reform process. With accession negotiations stalled and Turkey’s relationship with the EU increasingly tenuous, it is vital to take stock of the extent to which Turkey and the EU are aligned in key policy areas. The Europeanization of Turkish Public ...
