In Gender and Biopolitics: The Changing Patterns of Womanhood in Post-2002 Turkey, Pınar Sarıgöl sheds new light on the life spheres of the woman as a means of uncovering neoliberal Islamic thinking with regard to individuals and the population. Informed by Michel Foucault's critical perspective, the governmental rationality of post-2002 Turkey's Islamic neoliberalism is examined in this volume. The tenets and merits of Islamic neoliberalism bring moral and religious practices into the discussion regarding ‘how’ the social order should be in general, and ‘how’ the ideal woman should be in particular. Islam and neoliberalism are well matched here because Islam takes society as a social body in which hierarchies and roles are divinely normalised. Freedoms Delayed
According to diverse indices of political performance, the Middle East is the world's least free region. Some believe that it is Islam that hinders liberalization. Others retort that Islam cannot be a factor because the region is no longer governed under Islamic law. This book by Timur Kuran, author of the influential Long Divergence, explores the lasting political effects of the Middle East's lengthy exposure to Islamic law. It identifies several channels through which Islamic institutions, both defunct and still active, have limited the expansion of basic freedoms under political regimes of all stripes: secular dictatorships, electoral democracies, monarchies legitimated through Islam, and theocracies. Kuran suggests that Islam's rich history carries within it the seeds of liberalization on many fronts; and that the Middle East has already established certain prerequisites for a liberal order. But there is no quick fix for the region's prevailing record of human freedoms.

Erünsal, Mustafa Birol Ülker ve Esra Karayel Muhacir tarafından hazırlanan İlâhiyat Fakülteleri Tezler Kataloğu (1953-2015), Başvuru Eserleri Dizisi’nden Çıktı Yüksek Öğretim Kanunu’nun kabulü ve Yüksek İslâm enstitülerinin İlâhiyat fakültelerine dönüşmesinin ardından Türkiye’de İslâmî ilimler alanında yapılan yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerinin sayısında önemli bir artış olmuştur. İdeal olan hem bu tezlerden diğer araştırmacıların yararlanabilmesini sağlamak hem de aynı veya benzer konuda mükerrer tezlerin hazırlanmasına engel olmaktır. İlâhiyat Fakülteleri Tezler Kataloğu 1953-2015 yılları arasında yapılan 13.328 İlâhiyat tezinden ilim dünyasının haberdar olmasını sağlamak amacıyla TDV İslâm Araştırmaları Merkezi (İSAM) tarafından hazırlanarak araştırmacıların istifadesine sunulmuştur.
