Di Indonesia Eksekusi Pidana Mati menimbulkan Pro dan Kontra yang sampai saat ini masih hangat untuk dikaji. Selama periode dari tahun 2015 sampai dengan tahun 2016 terdapat 106 narapidana yang telah dijatuhi pidana mati. Dari 106 Terpidana tersebut, terdapat 18 narapidana yang telah di eksekusi, dan masih terdapat 88 narapidana yang masih menunggu eksekusi.
