Romanian Grammar
This book is an advanced grammar of Romanian for English speakers. Romanian is a Romance language, meaning that it has developed from Latin just like Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. Romanian is spoken by ca. 24 million people and it is the official language of both Romania and Moldova. It also has an official status in the province of Vojvodina in Serbia and in few villages in Ukraine. Romanian is also one of the official languages of the European Union.

Manual of Romance Phonetics and Phonology
This handbook is structured in two parts: it provides, on the one hand, a comprehensive (synchronic) overview of the phonetics and phonology (including prosody) of a breadth of Romance languages and focuses, on the other hand, on central topics of research in Romance segmental and suprasegmental phonology, including comparative and diachronic perspectives. Phonetics and phonology have always been a core discipline in Romance linguistics: the wide synchronic variety of languages and dialects derived from spoken Latin is extensively explored in numerous corpus and atlas projects, and for quite a few of these varieties there is also more or less ample documentation of at least some of their diachronic stages. This rich empirical database offers excellent testing grounds for different theoretical approaches and allows for substantial insights into phonological structuring as well as into (incipient, ongoing, or concluded) processes of phonological change. The volume can be read both as a state-of-the-art report of research in the field and as a manual of Romance languages with special emphasis on the key topics of phonetics and phonology.
Deconstructing Language Structure and Meaning
This volume brings together a number of researchers working on generative syntax and semantics, language acquisition and phonology to explore various theoretical frameworks, ranging from generative grammar and formal semantics to more descriptive approaches. The contributions gathered here investigate various aspects in the syntax, semantics, phonology and acquisition of Romanian in comparison with other (mainly Romance) languages. Manual of Romance Word Classes
Word classes are linguistic categories serving as basis in the description of the vocabulary and grammar of natural languages. While important publications are regularly devoted to their definition, identification, and classification, in the field of Romance linguistics we lack a comprehensive, state-of-the-art overview of the current research. This Manual offers an updated and detailed discussion of all relevant aspects related to word classes in the Romance languages. In the first part, word classes are discussed from both a theoretical and historical point of view. The second part of the volume takes as its point of departure single word classes, described transversally in all the main Romance languages, while the third observes the relevant word classes from the point of view of specific Romance(-based) varieties. The fourth part explores Romance word classes at the interface of grammar and other fields of research. The Manual is intended as a reference work for all scholars and students interested in the description of both the standard, major Romance languages and the smaller, lesser described Romance(-based) varieties.
Romanian Kielioppi
Romanian kieltä puhuu noin 24 miljoonaa ihmistä. Se on Romanian (n. 19,4 milj.) ja Moldovan (n. 2,8 milj.) virallinen kieli (Moldovassa tosin nimellä "moldovan kieli") ja lisäksi sillä on virallinen asema Voivodinan autonomisella alueella Serbiassa (n. 35 000 puhujaa). Romania on myös yksi Euroopan unionin virallisista kielistä. Romanian, Moldovan ja Voivodinan lisäksi romaniaa puhutaan mm. Unkarissa, Serbiassa, Ukrainassa sekä esim. Israelissa ja Venäjällä. Romanialaisia on myös viime aikoina muuttanut huomattavia määriä Länsi-Eurooppaan, lähinnä Italiaan ja Espanjaan. Romania on romaaninen kieli, eli se on kehittynyt aikojen kuluessa latinan kielestä, samoin kuten esim. espanja, portugali, ranska ja italia. Maantieteellisen sijaintinsa vuoksi romanian kieli on kuitenkin kehittynyt sukukielistään huomattavasti poikkeavaan suuntaan.

This book is a practical guide to the conjugation of Romanian verbs. Special attention has been given to the complicated sound changes. The book includes an index of 640 verbs.
Galegon Kielioppi
Galego eli galician kieli on Iberian niemimaalla puhuttu romaaninen kieli, joka on läheistä sukua espanjalle ja varsinkin portugalille. Galegoa puhutaan Espanjan luoteisosassa Galiciassa, jossa sillä on virallinen asema espanjan rinnalla. Galician 2,8 milj. asukkaasta n. 91% puhuu galegoa ja lähes kaikki ymmärtävät sitä. Galegoa puhutaan jonkin verran myös Asturiasin, Leónin ja Zamoran länsiosissa. Runsaan siirtolaisuuden vuoksi galegoa puhutaan myös muualla Euroopassa sekä Etelä-Amerikassa. Kaikkiaan galegonkielisiä on yli 3 miljoonaa.
