As transformações globais e as particularidades do contexto brasileiro têm reativado o debate sobre o tema da infraestrutura, impulsionando o avanço nas pesquisas acadêmicas sobre os processos, agentes e impactos na reestruturação do espaço, como as que reunimos neste livro. Derivado das apresentações desenvolvidas no Seminário Internacional Finanças na Produção Imobiliária e de Infraestruturas (SEFIIAL), realizado em 2019 na Universidade de São Paulo, “Infraestrutura na reestruturação do capital e do espaço: análises em uma perspectiva crítica” surge com a proposta de contribuir na discussão sobre as infraestruturas como elemento de crescente relevância na compreensão do capitalismo financeirizado e da produção do espaço.

O texto se propôs a analisar os impactos dos Jogos Olímpicos e Jogos Paralímpicos de 2016 em determinados segmentos econômicos e indicadores sociais, principalmente na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, que sediou os dois eventos esportivos. Entre os anos de 2009, quando o Brasil foi escolhido como sede olímpica, e 2016, quando os Jogos transcorreram, a União Federal, o estado e a cidade-sede fizeram investimentos pesados em infraestrutura, mobilidade, turismo, esporte e outras áreas, visando corresponder à expectativa que o Comitê Olímpico Internacional tinha quando escolheu, pela primeira vez, um país da América do Sul para receber seu evento mais importante. Utilizando a técnica de pesquisa documental com análise de conteúdo, o presente trabalho analisou pesquisas, relatórios, balanços, declarações, notícias e outros documentos com dados e informações de diferentes tipos sobre os efeitos provocados pelo alto volume de recursos públicos e privados que financiaram o projeto olímpico nos anos que antecederam a forte crise política e econômica que atingiu o país e, mais seriamente, o Rio de Janeiro a partir do ano do evento.

The Etymologies of Isidore of Seville
This work is a complete English translation of the Latin Etymologies of Isidore, Bishop of Seville (c.560–636). Isidore compiled the work between c.615 and the early 630s and it takes the form of an encyclopedia, arranged by subject matter. It contains much lore of the late classical world beginning with the Seven Liberal Arts, including Rhetoric, and touches on thousands of topics ranging from the names of God, the terminology of the Law, the technologies of fabrics, ships and agriculture to the names of cities and rivers, the theatrical arts, and cooking utensils. Isidore provides etymologies for most of the terms he explains, finding in the causes of words the underlying key to their meaning. This book offers a highly readable translation of the twenty books of the Etymologies, one of the most widely known texts for a thousand years from Isidore's time.

About Trees
About Trees considers our relationship with language, landscape, perception, and memory in the Anthropocene. The book includes texts and artwork by a stellar line up of contributors including Jorge Luis Borges, Andrea Bowers, Ursula K. Le Guin, Ada Lovelace and dozens of others. Holten was artist in residence at Buro BDP. While working on the book she created an alphabet and used it to make a new typeface called Trees. She also made a series of limited edition offset prints based on her Tree Drawings.
