Perkembangan tehnologi digital dng semaraknya software aplikasi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dalam mata pelajaran. Di sisi lain tak bisa dihindari dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan misalnya perundungan siswa di sekolah maupun di luar sekolah maka guru harus jeli melihatnya dan mengantisipasinya. Guru diharapkan juga bisa mengintegrasikan pembelajarannya dengan dunia empirik agar memiliki manfaat yang luas.
Guru, sungguh punya tugas mulia, tidak hanya di ruang kelas dengan terus mengupdate metode pembelajaran atau sering disebut selalu berinovasi dalam pembelajaran, tetapi juga memiliki spirit untuk mengembangkan lembaganya melalui kiprahnya di luar sekolah dan di lingkungan guru berada. Semua jalur pengembangan harus bermanfaat secara luas dan mendapat pengakuan bahwa guru adalah pembelajar.

In the early 1980s there was virtually no serious communication among the various groups that contribute to mathematics education -- mathematicians, mathematics educators, classroom teachers, and cognitive scientists. Members of these groups came from different traditions, had different perspectives, and rarely gathered in the same place to discuss issues of common interest.
